Among the apps for self care and productivity, the first one to introduce is Alarmy.
Waking up early is another resolution many people set as the new year begins. We only have so much time during the day, and we all dream of getting up early to spend our time more productively. It’s just that…the problem is the waking up part. Th is makes our plans fall apart, which leads to us giving up on our goals. However, Alarmy can solve this problem.
Alarmy is the number one alarm app used by 70 million people worldwide, and it’s an app that makes you complete a mission to turn off the alarm. These missions include squats, text copying, walking, shaking the phone, taking a picture, solving math problems, scanning QR codes, and memory games. Annnd there’s also the multiple-mission feature if you still find yourself lounging in bed.
This app also tells you the time by every minute when the alarm goes off and reads the notes you’ve written in advance. Some say it’s the most annoying app in the world, but it doesn’t stop them from using it! Alarmy is one of the best apps for self care and productivity, and definitely knows how to get the job done. I dare say it’s the best alarm app in the world 😉
It’s also feature-packed, so you can listen to sleep sounds, record your morning mood, check the weather, and read your horoscopes. Anyway, it’s a must-have for all the snoozers who need some extra shaking up in the morning.

2. MyRoutine

Making a habit and being consistent is crucial to achieving your goals for the new year! MyRoutine is a daily management app that tracks your routine, goals, plans, to-do lists, and memos in one space. You can see your track record by date, and I looove the fact that you can personalize your tasks by using emojis.
Once you meet your goals for the day, the dates on the top light up as either red, yellow, or green. Green meaning that you’re slaying your day 😉 By the end of the month, you can see how much you’ve accomplished with your monthly progress report. My personal goal is to fill all the dates with green lights. You can also pause your routine when you want to take a break, which allows the app to reflect your performance as a 50% success and mark the traffic lights in yellow.
However, MyRoutine is known for its social function. You can see other Routiners, and everyone can encourage each other by checking each other’s progress. This is one of the best apps for self care and productivity, and the best app to carry out your resolutions with friends! Leave your ID in the comments, follow each other, and get stimulated!
3. Pomodoro – Focus Timer

The Pomodoro app is a timer that can help your productivity when you have to do any task or focus on something. Are you easily distracted? Do you have things you need to focus on, like studying, working, reading, or writing? Then this app is for you.
The Pomodoro Technique is a time management method where you start the timer, focus on one thing for 25 minutes, and then take a 5-minute break. There’s something about splitting your activity into intervals that just makes it easier to do more. 25 minutes of work combined with a 5-minute break is a 30-minute set. After 4 sets, which is about 2 hours, you can take a longer break of 30 minutes. It’s long enough to get a little work done but not so long that it feels overwhelming.
You can also listen to mindless white noise using the timer and review how many sessions you completed and how productive you were today. Pomodoro is one of the best apps for self care and productivity.
Easy peasy, right? Instead of drooling for 8-9 hours, this app will help you get the job done in a set amount of time. Try it once. You’ll get addicted.
4. FatSecret

We all set weight loss as a new years resolution. Still, every year, every month, it becomes a goal that inevitably goes back to failure. Usually, food is the problem. We all know that the key to weight loss is diet, AKA tracking how much carbohydrates, protein, and fat you consume daily. It’s just hard to know the exact nutritional ingredients and what exactly you’re putting in your body! But this app can solve that problem.
I’ve tried out various dieting apps before, but FatSecret contains a massive range of food information compared to other apps. It’s safe to say that almost all food calories are registered. It also gives you suggestions for what to eat, which can be helpful when you need more ideas for healthy eating. You can track your diet at a glance in the report and reflect on your progress!
If you click the home button, you can scroll through pictures of everyone’s diet in your feed. You can be encouraged and inspired by watching others work toward their goals. So, FatSecret is one of the best apps for self care and productivity. Put down your bag of chips and try sticking to healthy eating for the new year with this app!
